Atlanta’s starting rotation has been ravaged by injury and the team will turn to 35-year old journeyman Roberto Hernandez to make Saturday’s start.
Hernandez is a story himself who spent the first part of his career playing under the name Fausto Carmona. He won 19 games with the Indians in 2007 but was outed when he was arrested for applying for a visa using false identification.
Hernandez began the season with the Blue Jays’ Triple-A team in Buffalo and went 4-4 with a 4.42 ERA in 13 starts.
