The Braves’ third base coach Ron Washington has been widely lauded. In addition to just being a top notch baseball guy, his work with the Braves’ infield defense has been praised and he has been a strong positive presence in the clubhouse.
This isn’t a huge surprise as Washington had a successful stint as a manager of the Texas Rangers where he went 664-611 and made a pair of World Series appearances before he resigned to deal with some family issues.
Now, it looks like he is at least seeing if there are opportunities for him to manage again.
