The Atlanta Braves could end up losing one of their longest-tenured members of the organization this winter.
Star hurler Max Fried has developed into a superstar over the last eight years as a member of the Braves and is going to be paid top-dollar this winter in free agency. He is one of the top hurlers available and will be coveted by contenders that think they are one pitcher away from making a run to the World Series.
It seems like he is going to get more money than the Braves want to offer and one team that was floated as one of the "best fits" for him is the New York Mets by The Athletic's Tim Britton, Chad Jennings, and Aaron Gleeman.
