Atlanta Braves outfielder Joc Pederson is sending his infamous pearl necklace to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Sports Illustrated’s Stephanie Apstein reported that Pederson will wear the necklace to the parade this Friday. Following that, they will be sent to Cooperstown, New York.
The pearl necklace had become a talking point in late September when Joc Pederson began wearing it. Ironically, during Game 3 of the World Series, the necklace snapped. Despite not playing, Pederson still had an impact. Travis d’Arnaud used Pederson’s bat to hit a solo home run in the 8th inning of a 2-0 victory.
