A mix of blown calls and missed opportunities doomed the Braves today. They squandered a four-run lead and lost 6-5 in 10 innings to the Blue Jays.
Chris Johnson got the Braves on the board with a sacrifice fly in the first inning after R.A. Dickey loaded the bases; Freddie Freeman added another majestic home run, a two-run shot, in the third inning; A.J. Pierzynski contributed a line drive homer to right leading off the fourth. The offense gave Alex Wood a 4-0 lead and he made it hold up through six innings thanks to four double plays turned behind him.
