The Braves have long been upset with their present spring training location, both in terms of the quality of the facilities and, more importantly, their proximity to other Spring Training complexes which has turned spring training into an unnecessary grind of constant lengthy road trips for the team. Spring training, in the eyes of many, shouldn’t be an exercise in how to not lose one’s sanity with constant road trips but instead focus on actually getting in game shape to play baseball.
Earlier this offseason, the Braves announced their intentions to move their facilities to North Port, FL which would put them in some updated facilities away from Orlando and much closer to their ST competition.
