We’ve arrived at the portion of spring training where many of the club’s promising prospects will shift their focus to the upcoming minor league season. On Friday, the Braves optioned or reassigned 10 players from big league camp.
Jesse Biddle, a lefty reliever who was in the running for a bullpen spot, was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett. He seems likely to get a shot in Atlanta at some point this season. Ricardo Sanchez and reliever Adam McCreery were optioned to Double-A Mississippi.
Kolby Allard and Mike Soroka were among the handful of prospects reassigned to minor league camp.
