The Atlanta Braves have agreed to terms with free agent catcher Chris Stewart on a one-year major league contract. Stewart is expected to provide some additional organizational depth behind Tyler Flowers and Kurt Suzuki. To make room for Stewart on the 40-man roster, the team placed Grant Dayton on the 60-day disabled list.
