The Atlanta Braves made a roster move in advance of Saturday’s game agains the New York Mets. Atlanta announced that they have selected the contract of left-handed reliever Chris Rusin and have designated right-hander Jhoulys Chacin for assignment.
The Braves added Rusin as a spring training invitee this offseason. He spent the last five seasons with the Colorado Rockies although he only appeared in two games with the Major League Club in 2019. He pitched well during the spring and stuck with the team after camp was restarted.
Atlanta added Chacin to the roster right at the end of camp after he was let go by the Minnesota Twins.
