Julio Teheran tossed a one-hit shutout for the Braves yesterday. The last Braves pitcher to do that: Jair Jurrjens.
Jurrjens accomplished the feat July 1, 2011 against Baltimore. His career with the Braves, which encompasses much of his major-league career, could be described as middling; he had a couple of good years sandwiched in between some not-so-good years.
He came to the Braves in a trade from Detroit for Edgar Renteria in the fall of 2007, and won 13 games in his rookie season of 2008 when he placed third in the Rookie of the Year voting.
