After starting out the season on a 2-3 road trip, the Braves are finally returning home to their newly-renamed ballpark in Cobb County for the start of their home opener and continuation of their current four-game series with the Tampa Bay Rays.
The big news today is that the Braves have finally returned to the front of the rotation, which means that Mike Soroka is going to be back on the mound for his second start of the season. After seeing three starts where one guy struggled to make it out of the fourth inning in a blowout that was in his team’s favor, another start that resulted in the starter getting Designated For Assignment and another start where a young pitcher took his major league lumps, seeing the stabilizing presence of Mike Soroka on the mound will surely be a sight for the sore eyes of Braves fans and players as well.
