Free agency for Major League Baseball will get underway next week and the biggest storyline for the Atlanta Braves this offseason remains at shortstop where Dansby Swanson is a free agent for the first time in his career. The two sides reportedly began discussions around the All-Star break on a possible new deal and Justin Toscano of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported in October that the two sides had exchanged numbers.
Jon Heyman adds to that report saying that the Braves offer was for around $100 million and added that Swanson’s preference was to remain in Atlanta.
