The Atlanta Braves have made a flurry of roster moves Saturday and a result have answered just about all of the questions in regards to their bench for Opening Day. The team announced Saturday afternoon that they have released infielder Jake Lamb from the roster which also clears a spot on the 40-man roster.
The Braves signed Lamb in hopes that he could supply some left handed power off the bench and another third base option. However, he didn’t impress this spring going 7-for-36 at the plate.
Given the team’s other roster moves from this morning, it appears that Ender Inciarte, Johan Camargo, Ehire Adrianza, Pablo Sandoval and either William Contreras or Alex Jackson will begin the season on the bench provided they go with a five-man bench to start.
