A low risk signing made in July unfortunately lasted roughly one month as the Braves have officially released Fernando Salas.
Salas struggled during his tenure with the Strippers making six appearances and compiling a 12.00 ERA, 2.67 WHIP, and .438 batting average against. A lot has changed since 2015 when Salas had a near 11K/9 rate for the Angels and had a 0.8 WAR in 63 innings. On the season he has made 41 appearances out of the Diamondbacks bullpen before his release from the organization when the Braves scooped him up.
