Charlie Morton isn’t your average Atlanta Braves prospect that this series has thus far dug into. He was never a top-100 prospect, nor was he even a Braves top-10 prospect, but he certainly made a name for himself in the MLB.

The Braves selected Morton in the 2002 MLB Draft out of high school in Connecticut. Athleticism was in his blood. His father Chip was one of the best high school basketball players in Long Island and went on to play at Penn State.
