Braves promote Adams, designate d'Arnaud

The Atlanta Braves selected the contract of outfielder Lane Adams from Triple-A Gwinnett and designated utility man Chase d'Arnaud for assignment, the club announced Tuesday.

Adams signed with the Braves as a free agent in December. He was hitting .333 with four home runs and 16 RBIs in 13 games for Gwinnett. The 27-year-old also had stolen six bases. He appeared in six games with the Royals in 2014 and went 0-for-3.
