The Atlanta Braves did not meet expectations in 2024. They kicked off their offseason by trading Jorge Soler to the Los Angeles Angels. They could remain active in the trade market as they look to gear up for a deep October run in 2025.
While predicting offseason moves, The Athletic's Jim Bowden predicted the Braves would make this trade to acquire Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Jordan Montgomery:
- Braves receive: left-handed pitcher Jordan Montgomery
- Diamondbacks receive: two minor-league pitchers
"After exercising his $22.5 million player option, Jordan Montgomery is traded by the Diamondbacks to the Braves for two minor-league pitchers, with Arizona agreeing to pay half of his salary," wrote Bowden.
