Today has been a bit of a whirlwind. The news this morning that the COVID-19 outbreak amongst the Marlins was significantly worse than we thought as many people wondering if the league could feasibly cancel the season today. For the moment, at least, it looks like there will be games tonight sans two that have been postponed due to either involving the Marlins or having to decontaminate because of them.
There are potential impacts for the Braves as well. The Braves played an exhibition game against the Marlins last week and with Tyler Flowers and Travis d’Arnaud testing negative but feeling under the weather, the test results for the next couple of days are going to be VERY important for the Braves’ season and really for the entire league.
