It is often true that as the season progresses, teams (particularly those whose Triple-A affiliates are nearby) will send players back and forth to manage their rosters and keep fresh arms with the team. This is hardly unusual and while it is annoying for the players to deal with, it is becoming a normal situation with how bullpen-centric today’s game is.
So while Bryse Wilson pitched well last night against the Phillies, it looks like he is the most recent passenger on the Gwinnett shuttle.
For a Braves bullpen that has some members that have seen a lot of use, having some fresh arms is not the worst idea in the world particularly with Anthony Swarzak on the mend.
