The Atlanta Braves have a decision to make in regards to their starting rotation in wake of Bartolo Colon hitting the disabled list Tuesday afternoon. Atlanta will play a doubleheader on Saturday against the New York Mets and will be calling up a pair of pitchers to take those turns.
One name that is not up for consideration is veteran right hander Kris Medlen who is currently pitching for Double-A Mississippi as he continues his way back. Braves manager Brian Snitker told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s David O’Brien that Medlen would have been a good option but that he just isn’t ready from a physical standpoint just yet.
