Julio Teheran returned from the disabled list on Sunday and turned in his best performance of the season throwing six no-hit innings while striking out 11 against the Padres. The Braves take 3-of-4 in the series and increase their lead in the NL East to 3.5 games.
It wasn’t all good news for Atlanta on Sunday as catcher Kurt Suzuki exited the game in the top of the second after he was struck in the head on a swing by San Diego’s Raffy Lopez. Tests for a concussion however came back negative and Suzuki is expected to be available for Tuesday’s game in Toronto.
