For a quick moment, it seemed like Atlanta was fated for another blowout defeat at the hands of the Nats. That lasted for exactly one frame, as the Braves took advantage of a poor performance from A.J. Cole and eventually scored 13 runs on their way to a seven-run victory. Julio Teheran didn’t pitch well at all, but Shane Carle picked up the slack and kept the Nationals from doing any more significant damage.
It’s pretty clear that if Akeel Morris is going to get a chance, it wasn’t going to come here in Atlanta.
