The Atlanta Braves wrapped up their series against the Phillies in style with a 15-1 blowout win. Josh Donaldson homered for the third straight game while Mike Foltynewicz allowed one run over six innings to hold the Phillies at bay.
Good news for Sean Newcomb who may have escaped serious injury after being struck by a batted ball in the head during Saturday’s game against the Phillies. Newcomb slept through Saturday night with no issue. He has a bump on his head and some stiffness in his neck but told MLB.com’s Mark Bowman that he otherwise feels fine.
