BRAVES NEWS
The Braves offense in this game was essentially a combination of Ozzie Albies being awesome and the Padres defense being the opposite. Albies homered for the third time in two days and also singled home a run. The real story for the Braves, however, was the performance of rookie Mike Soroka, who tossed six innings while allowing just one run. Josh Tomlin relieved Soroka in the seventh, and promptly provided the Braves with two scoreless innings. Jerry Blevins opened the ninth inning with a strikeout of Eric Hosmer, then was followed by Jacob Webb, who induced a groundout to third before striking out Wil Myers to end the game and pick up his first career save.
