J.T. Realmuto Trade
The biggest news of the day by far. The J.T. Realmuto saga officially ended on Thursday when the Miami Marlins traded the All-Star catcher to the Philadelphia Phillies. Miami received catcher Jorge Alfaro, top pitching prospect Sixto Sanchez, left-handed prospect Will Stewart and an international signing slot.
The Braves reportedly made it clear to the Marlins that their top prospects were available but backed away when the asking price exceeded their comfort level. Third baseman Austin Riley was reportedly the Marlins’ primary interest.
Atlanta Braves News
