The Braves scored a walk-off win on Friday as Sean Kazmar scored on a wild pitch by Toronto’s Hector Perez to secure a 4-3 win. It wasn’t all good news for the home team as A.J. Minter left the game after facing just one batter due to stiffness in his pitching shoulder.
Minter’s shoulder just adds another question mark to a bullpen that has more than enough already. MLB.com’s Mark Bowman writes that Atlanta’s lack of late inning options could lead them to reconsider free agent closer Craig Kimbrel.
Dansby Swanson and Josh Donaldson were both scheduled to make their spring debuts on Friday but neither were in the Braves’ lineup against Toronto.
