Tyler Flowers entered the game last night as a pinch hitter after signing a contract extension with the Braves earlier in the day and promptly deposited a two run homer over the left field fence. Between his big shot and a four hit game from the resurgent Ender Inciarte the Braves were able to break the Rays’ winning streak of eight games.
As mentioned above Tyler Flowers decided to re-up with the Braves for a season and possibly a second. The deal is structured somewhat like his last one with a one year guarantee and a club option for 2020.
