The Winter Meetings came and went for the Atlanta Braves with a few rumors but no action. That isn’t terribly surprising given that Alex Anthopoulos has previously indicated that he prefers to do business before or after the meetings. Atlanta is looking for value and may be best served waiting until January to fill in holes in the corner outfield as well as the bullpen.
“I think the biggest mistake we could make is to try to force a deal to sign somebody to three, four or five years that we like, but we don’t love,” Braves general manager Alex Anthopoulos said.
