BRAVES NEWS
The Braves got off to an inauspicious start on Monday, as the Marlins jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning on a two-run homer from Brian Anderson. Julio Teheran appeared destined for another poor outing against a Miami team that tagged him for nine runs in his last start, but settled in to allow three runs over five innings of work. The Braves offense was lead by Freddie Freeman and Ronald Acuña, who both homered, while Johan Camargo added two doubles and an RBI. The Atlanta bullpen finished the game with four shutout innings as Brad Brach made his Braves debut and AJ Minter continued his good work in the closer role.
