While Kevin Gausman did little on Wednesday to ease the concerns of the masses regarding the starting rotation, Ronald Acuña Jr. once again provided evidence as to why he is considered one of the best players in baseball despite being just 20 years old. Acuña finished just a homer shy of the cycle, making 8-for-8 in his last nine plate appearances. It’s probably safe to say the kid is ready to head north in two weeks. Others pitched into the offensive effort, including Dansby Swanson and Ozzie Albies, but the club fell short in an 8-4 loss.
