Gwinnett got a big day offensively from Eury Perez and some strong pitching from Manny Banuelos and the bullpen in a 6-1 win over Columbus. Eury Perez led off the game with a double and later scored on another double by Cedric Hunter to stake the Braves to an early 1-0 lead. Perez came to the plate again in the third and led off the inning with his second home run of the season to increase the Gwinnett lead to 2-0.
The Braves would blow the game open in the fourth adding four more runs with the big blow coming off the bat of Hunter with a bases-loaded single that scored both Daniel Castro and Mycal Jones.
