Braves, Mets Sunday night game postponed due to rain

Sunday’s game between the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets has been rained out according to Mets owner Steve Cohen.

Brian Snitker spoke with the media and said that he was expecting an update around 5 p.m, but it now appears that the team will be heading back to Atlanta a little early. Snitker said that if the game was rained out, that they would consider starting Charlie Morton in Monday’s game against the Nationals as scheduled and would likely slot in Max Fried for Tuesday.

It has been a rough week for Atlanta who split a two-game series in Boston.
