Padres rookie Colin Rea held the Braves to five hits and two runs as the Braves dropped their eighth straight at Petco Park, losing 5-3.
The Padres jumped on Williams Perez with three runs in the second. An infield single by Derek Norris with one out scored the first run of the inning. Following a wild pitch, Will Venable brought home two more with a single to right.
Cameron Maybin homered in the fourth to put the Braves on the board, but then Matt Kemp hit one of his own in the fifth.
