The Atlanta Braves will return to action on Tuesday when they begin a six-game homestand with a three-game set against the St. Louis Cardinals. Atlanta is 21-20 and currently three games back of the Philadelphia Phillies in the NL East standings.
The Braves just wrapped up a 6-4 road trip that included plenty of ups and downs. They began the trip with a three-game sweep of the Marlins and then suffered a rather lopsided sweep to the Dodgers in Los Angeles. They then dropped the opener in Arizona as the bullpen blew a late lead before rallying to win the final three games of the series.
