DeMarlo Hale, the Braves’ interim 1B coach in 2020, is leaving the organization to become the Cleveland Indians bench coach.
It’s a promotion for Hale, who has spent the last two decades serving in a variety of coaching roles around MLB. Hale is familiar with Indians manager Terry Francona as the two worked together with the Boston Red Sox from 2006-2011. The two will now be reunited once again, and it's a nice promotion for Hale, who did an admirable job stepping in this past season.
Hale took over first base duties with the Braves this past summer following Eric Young Sr.
