The Atlanta Braves have hired Dana Brown to become the Vice President of Scouting.
The news comes just 48 hours after Alex Anthopoulos fired longtime scouting director Brian Bridges and senior advisor Roy Clark.
“We are extremely excited to add Dana to our baseball operations staff,” said Braves General Manager Alex Anthopoulos. “His track record of identifying major league talent is unquestioned, and we look forward to his contributions to our organization.”
The Braves announced the move via press release on Friday afternoon.
From that news release: Brown joined the Blue Jays prior to the 2010 season and served as one of the organization’s top evaluators, contributing to a pair of postseason appearances.
