ATLANTA -- It's too early for the Braves to panic about the possibility of a collapse. But after suffering an 8-1 loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday night at SunTrust Park, they can't ignore the fact that they have spent the past month trending in the wrong direction.
The Braves are just four days removed from a season-high six-game winning streak that was aided by the opportunity to hit the road to face the fading D-backs and last-place Giants. They also feasted on the Pirates and Marlins during a late-August road trip. But there is no sugar-coating the fact that they have lost 14 of their past 18 home games.
