MILWAUKEE — When relievers Arodys Vizcaino and David Carpenter made their season debuts Tuesday, it raised to 49 the total number of players used by the Braves this season, two more than used by any other major league team.
That’s 10 more players than the Braves used in the entire 2014 season, and just one shy of the franchise record the Braves set in 2007 — and this season is barely past the halfway point, with 77 games still to be played.
The only other team that used more than 44 players before Wednesday was Tampa Bay (47).
