I love Martin Prado. For that reason, I love this game, in which he defeated the Phillies, basically single-handedly. And no, I don’t mean like, “he hit a homer in the eighth in an otherwise-scoreless game.” He had a lot of work to do, and he did it.
The gist: Prado’s hits tied the game in the third and fifth. The Braves carried a 3-2 lead into the eighth, but Mike Gonzalez gave up back-to-back two-out homers to John Mayberry and Pedro Feliz. Not to worry: Prado immediately tied the game with his third hit of the night.
