While we eagerly await the start of the 2020 MLB season, let’s flash back to June 24, 2000, when Andruw Jones collected his 100th home run of his career with a first-inning blast off of Brewers’ right-hander Jamey Wright. This homer was his 20th of the season, and he would set a career-high with 36 in 2000. This homer came in Jones’ age-23 season. Jones would go on to hit 368 home runs in a Braves uniform and 434 in his 17-year Major League career.
Jones’ homer would account for the Braves’ only run in a 2-1 loss to the Brewers.
