The Atlanta Braves won't be the worst team in the National League East all season, but it's fair to ask at this point whether they need to make some roster improvements.
Despite their dominant win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday, the Braves currently sit at 5-11. They rank 25th in runs scored so far this season and 17th in runs allowed--not exactly a recipe for success.
If there are two obvious needs for the Braves right now, they are an extra outfielder, thanks to the 80-game suspension for free-agent acquisition Jurickson Profar, and a depth starting pitcher, thanks to the struggles of Bryce Elder and A.
