The Atlanta Braves announced a roster move prior to Thursday's series finale against the San Diego Padres. The Braves have designated pitcher Trevor Cahill for assignment and purchased the contract of reliever Dana Eveland from the Gwinnett Braves.

The Braves acquired Cahill on April 2 in a trade with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
