SAN DIEGO -- When Kelly Johnson re-signed with the Braves this past winter, the popular joke was that he would be traded back to the Mets again before this year's Trade Deadline. This proved to be true, but the transaction occurred a little earlier than initially anticipated.
The Braves traded Johnson to the Mets on Wednesday morning in exchange for right-handed Minor League pitcher Akeel Morris, who was ranked as New York's 16th-best prospect.
This change will be quite familiar for Johnson, who reached the World Series after the Braves traded him and Juan Uribe to the Mets a week before last year's Trade Deadline.
