The Atlanta Braves did not meet expectations in 2024. Their roster could look very different in 2025 with many key players potentially leaving. They declined the club option for catcher Travis d'Arnaud and need to potentially replace him.
FanSided's Christopher Kine suggested that the Braves should trade for Wilson Contreras to replace d'Arnaud.
"Contreras was battered by injuries last season, limited to 84 games, but the production was solid, wrote Kline. "He slashed .262/.380/.468 with 15 home runs. An All-Star as recently as 2022, Contreras would serve as a meaningful upgrade to the Braves' catching depth chart, even with Sean Murphy and top prospect Drake Baldwin still in the clubhouse.
