The Atlanta Braves failed to meet high expectations in 2024. They were decimated by injuries last season and will need to make moves to get back on track for 2025. That could mean parting ways with a fan favorite.
While discussing Braves trade candidates, MLB.com's Mark Bowman floated the idea of the Braves potentially moving Ozzie Albies who could have a high trade value because of his contract.
"There would also be reason to debate moving Ozzie Albies, the three-time All-Star second baseman whose contract includes a $7 million salary for 2025 and $7 million options for 2026 and ’27," wrote Bowman.
