In seven innings, Teheran allowed just one earned run, but again had no support from the "offense" behind him as the Braves drop the opener of this weekend series by a 5-1 score.
Teheran was in the soup right off the bat. Alcides Escobar singled to start the game, but the ball scooted through Jeff Francoeur's legs and Escobar reached third easily; shortly thereafter, he would score on a groundout.
Escobar would drive in the second run for KC in the second inning with a single, scoring Cheslor Cuthbert who doubled with one out.
