The Braves made a handful of roster moves on Saturday afternoon to shake up the bullpen.
Rex Brothers, who did not pitch well on Opening Day, has been sent down to Triple-A Gwinnett. He has been replaced by hard-throwing righty Josh Ravin.
Ravin, 30, spent the last few seasons with the Dodgers, which is (of course) where Alex Anthopoulos was previously employed. Ravin has appeared in 33 big league games throughout his career and owns a career 5.05 ERA (5.20 FIP). He strikes out nearly one-third of the batters he faces, although he issues far too many walks and tends to get beaten by the long ball.
