Braves call up Ian Krol from Gwinnett

The Atlanta Braves made a roster move on Tuesday calling up left handed reliever Ian Krol from Triple-A Gwinnett. Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal was the first to report with the AJC's David O'Brien later confirming. No word yet on what the corresponding roster move might be to make room for Krol.

Krol adds another experienced lefty to a Braves' bullpen that has leaned heavily on rookie Hunter Cervenka. Krol had a 4.38 ERA in 12 appearances at Gwinnett. He limited left handed hitters to a .136 average with 10 strikeouts while in Triple-A.

The Braves will also reportedly add infielder Gordon Beckham to the active roster prior to Tuesday's series opener against the Phillies.
