Behind the strength of a late inning rally, the Braves beat the Mets Tuesday night, 7-3.
It was a common tale for the Braves, as they put up seven runs in the seventh and eighth innings. Their body of late inning work this year is nothing short of remarkable. Unfortunately for the Mets, it was also a common tale for them also. After Noah Syndergaard managed to keep the Braves’ bats silent, the Mets’ bullpen immediately imploded upon being summoned.
Walks were everywhere in the early part of the game, as both pitchers struggled to grip the ball due to the downpour that occurred during the first two innings.
