Today marks MLB’s rollout of its new, re-organized minor league schema. The Braves have correspondingly announced how their farm teams will look for the 2021 season (and perhaps beyond):
Braves fans are at least somewhat familiar with the Gwinnett Stripers and Mississippi Braves, who have served as the affiliates for much of recent (and not-so-recent) history. The Stripers are, of course, the Braves’ Triple-A club, while the M-Braves are at the Double-A level.
Under this framework, the Rome Braves move from A-ball to High-A, which was previously held by the now-defunct-despite-the-cool-logo Florida Fire Frogs.
